Christmas Eve with the Hazelhofer Family

Almost everyone at the dinner table. Some got away before I got there picture.
Everyone having a turn on the world tour.

Michael and Greg, once again trying to hit those notes!

Tight quarters but he didn't care. Either did the dogs.

The chef hard at work.

Dallin's turn.

Didn't get the tongue sticking out on the photo, but did get a serious look.

Hello! A little to into the singing maybe?

the HAZELHOFER BROTHERS! They rock

So Christmas Eve we went to Grandpa and Galen's house. We had dinner with Michael's brother and sister, Uncle Max and his wife, cousin Jill and her family, and Claudia and Russ. Grandpa cooked an excellent prime rib, as always and lots of yummy side dishes. I brought a green salad and a dessert I would rather not talk about because it didn't turn out how it was suppose to.

Before we had dinner the kids couldn't wait to open there present from Grandpa and Galen. As you will see in the pictures, why they couldn't.

We have had a great time with this already, and lots of laughs watching the expressions on every ones faces and how they really get into playing. For example, when Michael and Morgan play they like to stick out there tongue. Garrett and Cameron when they are playing the drums get some serious bouncing going on, trying to remember to hit the base drum. THANKS Grandpa and Galen for the gift!

We did lots of laughing, reflecting back and enjoying one anothers company. One topic of discussion was Greg's wedding next year, and welcoming his fiancee to the family. We were giving him a hard time asking him if she knows what she is getting into joining the Hazelhofer family. Greg says that I have survived, so I can support her and break her in slowly. Anyway we are excited for him and Chelsea. August 1, 2009 is the date of the big day. The boys are excited, Morgan says he wants to be the ring barrier.

Grandpa has 2 dogs Molly and Moe, well Dallin loves dogs. All that night he was playing with them it was so cute. When we were all done eating Dallin asked me if he could get into there kennel with them, I told him no. Well I looked over about 10 minutes later and Cameron had helped him get in. The dogs and Dallin were having a good time.

Christmas

In front of the Nativity, this year it was a new one. Not the one I remember seeing before.

It wasn't as cold, I know as it is in Idaho! But for me it was cold enough! Michael's dad, Grandpa Hazelhofer came with us to see the lights.

So this week we continued with some family traditions. We had our ward Christmas party, where Morgan and Dallin were able to see Santa Clause. Dallin was the most excited about it. Garrett was kind of like it's OK, I don't need to sit on your lap. Cameron was just way too cool to even go down that road. It was a great night with the family and the ward.
Just this Monday for family night we traveled to Oakland Temple to see all the pretty Christmas Lights. Every year it's just as pretty if not prettier! I always enjoy going there this time of year and visiting the visitors center as well.

Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The Hazelhofer family wants to wish all our family and friends who come to our blog this holiday season, a Merry Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Hope all is well for you and your families and that we remember the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Our family has been blessed with health and great memories this last year as you see through out our blog. Boys that are always busy and parents who constantly work on having patience with them!!!! We love our boys tremendously and love the joy and laughter they bring into our lives. We look forward to hearing from you this Holiday season and hope that you will leave a comment or maybe your own blog address to see how your own families are doing. MERRY CHRISTMAS! LOVE THE HAZELHOFER'S
ps- These are pictures from Dallin's preschool Christmas program last night. I thought he was an Ox, but he corrected me and said "I'm a cow mom"! He did a great job.

My new favorite picture!

Whenever we go quad riding Michael always rides his trail 90. Most people would think that it's pretty funny that he is on the smaller Bike(trail 90) and I am on the bigger one (400). His shirt even adds to the laughter! Truth is though that the trail 90 is a little sensitive and he knows how to keep it going. No, truth is he can't handle the 400! Whatever the reason, this is my new favorite picture of the 2 of us. We have a lot of fun no matter who is riding what.

Family 5k and Mile Run

Those who won a metal for there age group and time!

So almost all of us participated in the Christmas tree lodi 5k race yesterday. Mike, Cameron and I did the 5K and Morgan did the mile run. Garrett was at home with an injured knee he hurt the night before and Dallin was with Grandma. It was really fun and exciting to have the family there to do the race together. At least start at the starting line together that is. They started the races with the kids first 1/4 mile, 1/2 a mile, and then a 1 mile race ages 5 to 12 years old. So Morgan went for the 1 mile run. He was awesome. He won 2nd place for boys in that race. Came in second to a 12 year old, WOW! Michael, Cameron and I ran the 5k of course. Cameron was really excited to do his first race. When we got there we found that 4 other friends and there families were doing the race as well. A little more competition I guess you could say. Not for me though, again as always I'm slow and steady. This time though I came in 3rd for my age group, can you believe it! Michael also won for his age, he came in 2nd. Some of our other friends won for their age group as well. It was really a great way to start our Saturday!

Good Spidy vs. Bad Spidy

Dallin loves to play Spiderman lately, all the time. The other day we caught some photos of him being the good spiderman and Morgan being the bad spiderman in action. Dallin is always pretending to be Peter Parker and switching from good to bad Spiderman. He even lays out each suit (good and bad) and will look over both and try and decide which one he wants to be at the moment. Just like in the movie. I the other day was told that I was M.J. by Dallin when he was playing. I was laughing hysterically when he said that. His imagination is always going!

1/2 marathon

We did it, our 1st half marathon!

http://www.srtiming.com/files/HALF.HTM
Here's the results check them out.

We trained, we prepared, and we conquered! A little over 2 1/2 months worth of gearing up for this 1/2 marathon and we accomplished our goal, to FINISH! For myself I did great all the way up to the 11 mile. Then those last 2 miles I thought I was going to die! It was tough but I finished in only 2 hours and 45 minutes. This isn't my official time, they should have them posted soon. Michael on the other hand was booken thru the whole race. Finishing a whole hour before me (tells you how slow I run) came in under 2 hours at 1 hour and 50 minutes. WOW! To top off our race Michael won 2nd place for his age group. To think we were just going to leave and we decided to wait and hear the results. Also accomplishing this race were our good friends John and Cindy. They did an awesome job as well, first 1/2 for them too. It was a beautiful trail to run and a perfect day for running, not to cold and not to hot. We ran along the Sacramento River on a paved trail. This was a ultra-marathon, marathon, and 1/2 marathon. We think we might try a team marathon or team ultra marathon next time. Maybe! It feels great to have accomplished something we both worked so hard to do. To think, I never thought I would ever run a 1/2 marathon let alone ever be a runner, in all my life. Now it's going on 4 years since I started running. Feels great!

We finished
John Robison, Michael, Wendy, Cindy Brink before our race

Michael wins 2nd place!!!!!!

I must say, I am very proud of my man! He worked hard!

At the finish line. We all finished!

This is all out of order, but here's me running to the finish line. Or sprinting to the finish line.

Here I come, in deep thought. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it! Just a few more feet!

Halloween 2008

Happy Halloween! This year the boys were superhero's and Napoleon Dynamite characters. Cameron was Kip and Garrett was Napoleon, hence the eyes on him. Morgan was some kind of black knight I think and Dallin, obviously the HULK! The weather was actually warm but rainy so we didn't get to do to much trick or treating. I didn't mind that at all, meant less candy in the house for everyone. Plus Halloween was on a Friday so a lot of the neighbors weren't home, probably at party's, or just out because it's Friday. Cameron went to a Halloween party and had a great time, didn't miss the fact that he didn't get any candy.

PUMP IT UP! RACE

I did my first 10k (6.2 miles) race today! YEAH! In 1 hour and 12 minutes. As I was running I kept thinking, and I'm going to do a 1/2 marathon. It's always awesome when you can see the finish line and finish without stopping. It's always fun to have incentive/purpose for your running everday other than just trying to stay fit and healthy. Mike was going to run it as well but we had baseball conflicts and so he volunteered to take care of the kids while I did the race.
