Garrett Turns 10 Today

So today is Garrett's official birthday June 22nd. It's Sunday so we celebrated his birthday with his friends on Friday by having a swim party. We walked over to the tennis club we belong to and went swimming, had pizza and birthday cake. He had a great time and received lots of gift cards and money from his buddies. Today we went to church and he gets to do what he wants the rest of the day within limits because it's still Sunday, plus he's been celebrating since Friday. We, Michael and I took just him out to dinner last night just the 3 of us it was kind of nice. I can't believe it double digits for my BEAR! (his nickname) HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARRETT

Happy Father's Day

Today Michael had a nice Father's Day! The boys, some of the boys, OK, ONE of the boys Cameron got up early and helped me make Michael breakfast. He got breakfast in bed today. We took a picture of him here and you can see penny watching Michael eat pieces of bacon hoping that she will get some. We then went to church, came home and then took a nice long nap, the BEST with early morning church. We then BBQ some steaks and Cameron and Michael worked on making a Banana cream Pie for dessert that turned out excellent it was delicious! He will tell you he had a very nice Father's day!

A's vs Yankees

Just this Friday we went to the A's vs Yankees game in Oakland. Cameron being the only Yankees fan as you see in the pictures made the game that more exciting. Remember this year Cameron's baseball team he played on was the Yankees. Anyway if I remember right the A's scored a run in the 2nd inning. Then it was the 6th inning and everyone wanted a treat, not Michael or I wanted to get up and go and wait in those lines. But Michael ended up being the nice guy and went. While he, Cameron and Garrett were gone getting treats the Yankees were up to bat, score still 1 to 0 Well the A's gave a base hit and 2 walks, and then Motsuey (spell?) up to bat hit a grand slam, score now 4 to 1. Michael and the boys just after all the excitement come walking down the stairs to sit down and boy did I get the looks. Great game, Cameron was thrilled that the Yankees won that night. A's are still doing really well though, they did beat the Yankees the night before and just beat the Giants this weekend twice. GO A's! Baseball fan I guess.

Thanks for visiting me Taylor

Taylor I had a great time with you, thanks for wanting to come spend sometime with your aunt Wendy. The shopping with a little girl, doing your hair, and just having a girl around was a lot of fun and different. Shopping for girl clothes was really fun! I hope you enjoyed being with you Uncle and your boy cousins even if they can be a little gross at times. I look forward to some more IM when you can, how is the text messaging toy you got by the way? Love ya

Drinking Yellow water? Morgan?

I was reminded just the other day by Michael about what Morgan did over Memorial weekend while we were at that candy store pictured here on our blog. Just after we arrived at the candy store Dallin needed to go to the bathroom. Well turns out the closest bathroom was at the end of the road, which Dallin wouldn't be able to wait for. So Michael took Dallin to the car to pee in a Propel bottle, which for those of you who have boys not a big deal right!(I think anyway) Well I guess, Michael couldn't find garbage to put the pee bottle in so he came in the candy store and told everyone including me "don't drink the propel bottle in the car, Dallin peed in it". Come on, done of us heard a word he said, we're in the candy store! So about an hour later after taking a walk and eating lots of the candy that we had bought, we get to the car and everyone kind of climbs in and out as we are all lingering and talking trying to decide what to do next. While we are doing so all of the sudden without any of us paying attention Morgan is standing right outside of the car and starts spitting out all this liquid out of his mouth while holding a propel bottle in the other hand! Yap he started to drink the propel that what full of Dallin's pee that Michael I guess had told us all not to drink. We were laughing hysterically and grossed out at the same time. Poor kid! He said "it tasted like yellow water and that he didn't get to much in his mouth before he spit it out". To top it all off there was a garbage can, seriously 4 feet away from the car. Next time Michael will look a little harder! Morgan also asked later as we were driving home "dad am I going to get sick"?

Cameron's piano recital

This is Cameron's 3rd year taking piano lessons and his 3rd piano recital. He was given a talent of being able to pickup playing piano pretty easily. I wanted at least one of my children if not more to learn to play the piano so I am very pleased. Morgan recently has shown some interest so we shall see. I'm very proud of Cameron he did a great job here. He played a duet with his piano teacher. I will also brag for a moment just last Saturday his school gave out awards to all grades, he being in 6th received Highest Honors (straight A's)! I honestly don't know where he gets it, I don't know where any of my boys get it to tell you the truth.
