How much can Michael do in one day? Let's see!

So we have been married over 15 years now and I have yet to see Michael be able to sleep in. Even now what I call sleeping in which is if I am lucky 8:00. So his Saturday morning started before 6:30 (crazy I think)and without a moment to spare his day finished at around 11:30pm. I know our lives aren't any busier (maybe just different) then the rest of you, but just thought I would enter a little blog in here about Michael. He started off with going to LOWES for some supplies for his projects like fixing the bronco brake lights, neighbors porch lights, and piping to fix the sprinklers in the yard. When he returned to do those projects he also wanted to do some repairs on our tent trailer for our summer vacations. Midway through his projects he had to stop to coach Garrett's Baseball game which is 2 hours and by the way Garrett did an outstanding job pitching again. They lost by 3 but still it was a great game. After the game we threw some lunch in there and he returned to his projects. We came back and it was Cameron's turn to mow the lawn, which he wasn't thrilled about so Michael got him started on it. It seemed like all the neighbor kids wanted to mow the lawn though. Almost finished with all the projects before it was time to go to a fundraiser dinner for Garrett's tackle football he will be doing this fall. Needless to say he had a productive day and got what he wanted done before the day was over.

This is my favorite thing to ride around in this time of year the bronco and the boys really do too. We just took the top and it's ready for the summer. Michael scrubbed down the tent trailor and put our camping gear in it so it's ready to go.

Just cleaning up the garage, sometimes it can get out of control in there and collects a lot of garbage.

Cameron having loads of fun mowing the lawn, you can see it in the way he's caring the bag!?!?!?

So our name is always getting butchered, right! So some friends had this one put on a shirt for him. "NAZELHOFER" with NIKE on the front obviously. We were in the paper for the Sacramento temple when they were doing the open house. Well they put our name in the paper as Nike and Wendy Nazelhofer. So that's the story behind the shirt. I didn't know Mike was such a hard name.

All DONE!

Muffins for Mom

Today I was able to be with Morgan for Muffins for Moms. This is how the Kindergartners and 1st graders celebrate Mother's Day for their mommies. They sang this really cute song, made a little purse out of construction paper and a little paper corsage. When they were done singing they came to sit by their moms and served them muffins and coffee. As Morgan put it, "you don't get to drink anything because you don't drink coffee". Morgan was really excited to have me their and I was glad I could be there, he did a really cute job singing and I love my purse he made me, in it he wrote,

Dear Mom,
I Love you. Thank you for yor(your) hugs and yor(your) kiss. Thank you for erthg (everything)You are the bat (best) Mom. Love Morgan

Dallin's turn for Tubes in his ears

So Dallin had his turn this week with tubes in his ears. All went well, other than he didn't patiently wait for the doctor to arrive and didn't want to lay on the bed and didn't want pictures taken. He was not very happy when he woke up from surgery. After about an 1 1/2 of the whole process we were able to go home. So, from start to finish and when all the sleepy stuff wore off you would never have guessed that Dallin just had surgery.

So he was really excited at first when he saw the spiderman bed that was just for him. Then he wasn't to happy when they told him he had to take off his spiderman PJ's and put on their cool hospital gown. That didn't go over or on very well!

He didn't mind getting his blood pressure taken, but if the nurse or the doctor weren't around forget, he wasn't going to leave any of that stuff on. He took it all off.

Here he started to get impatient. Did not want to lay in the bed anymore, he wanted to go home. He was all done!

I DO NOT WANT MY PICTURE TAKEN!

Sleepy still from surgery, for about another hour or two he slept right there like that on the couch. So sweet!

Kids say the cutest things!

So I thought I better write down 2 things that were said by 2 of my children before I forget.
First Morgan. Last week during Cameron's b-day dinner we're sitting there talking about how old everyone is. Then Morgan starts asking the questions how old will I be when Cameron is 16, how old will I be when Cameron is 20, how old will I be when Cameron is 24 or 26. Well one of the the answer lead to the answer of, well you will be 18 or 19 and probably on a mission. (Now remember Grandparents are with us for this b-day dinner) and well Morgan turns to Grandma Barbara and says "Yeah, and you might be dead"? For a 6 year old he sure can say the darnest things! We all had a pretty good laugh.
Now Garrett. Well this took place today at church. I am the primary pianist so I get to watch and hear the joys of those sweet kids as they are learning. Today's topic during sharing time was "how we can help out in our families". The senior primary kids were having a difficult time listening today for some reason so Garrett's comment started a chain of silliness. So it was Garrett's turn and he was asked what he could do by helping his mom? His response "I can not cuss"!I about fell off the piano bench. Did he even know what the word cuss meant? Then he added more by saying look at my mom over there, where I was hiding behind the piano, "she laughing like crazy"! The Primary president then said maybe to help you Garrett you can put a dollar or a quarter into a jar for every time you say a bad word to help you stop. Then out of know where another child says my dad would owe me like $100.00 dollars. Then the Primary presidents daughter in her sweet little voice goes mommy sometimes you do that too. Sometimes I wish there could be a hidden camera going to catch moments like that, it would be awesome to see it over again.
ps - turns out Garrett only said what he said because his friend next to him said to, and I was right he didn't know what cuss meant.

Garrett's Baseball game

So this is Garrett's first game. He is on the Astros. Mike is coaching his team along with Morgans T-ball team who are also the Astros. In this picture you will see that the position Garrett is playing is pitcher(obviously), and he also plays catcher and 3rd baseman. I wish you could see the strength this kid has. Every time he hits the ball it's deep into outfield, and I am not just saying these things because he's my son, he really has some great strength when it comes to sports. I'll prove it when I can figure out how to put a video on here. So I know they won this game but I don't know the score because I had Dallin with me and I had to entertain him towards the end of the game. We had to leave and play at the park which was to far away from the baseball field.

Morgan Get Tubes for the 3rd time

On Tuesday April 22 Morgan went in for tubes to be put in his ears for the 3rd time. He inherited his dads ears I guess. As soon as the tubes come out his poor little ears fill right up with fluid and he starts talking really really loud and doesn't hear anything anybody says to him at normal talking level. The doctor has said sometimes it can take up to 3 times before they stop having ear problems, every child is different. Anyway needless to say Morgan is very brave. No problems with no food until after surgery, going to the hospital, waking up from surgery, pain. I think he looked forward to the donuts afterwards and not having to go to school. One of the first things he said in the car was "Am I talking loud", "do you hear that noise mom"? Wow imagine what it was like for him for the last 6 months, like being in a bubble or something. He's doing great now! Dallin may be going in for a turn next Monday May 5th this will be his 2nd turn. We will know for sure this Thursday.

The waiting part is the hardest part. We waited forever it felt like (2hours)

Still waiting

Just killing time still waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????

Done, just waking up. This is kind of how I wake up at home. Just leave me alone and I'll be fine, look on my face.

Can we go now?

Cameron Turns 12 years old

So a couple of days before Cameron's birthday, he invited a few friends from school to go to a place called Someplace Fun. It has a whole bunch of these jump houses in a 37,000 square foot warehouse. It was alot of fun. We had cake, pizza, soda all that good stuff kids like. His friends gave him lots of gift cards or money that he wants to save for something special. (smart kid) Mom and dad gave him a skateboard called a street surfer. You have to move the back of the skateboard back and forth in order to move it, not like a normal skate board. I tried it, it's pretty tricky. His actually bday the 25th he had a baseball game so we celebrated on sunday the 27th with a couple of his grandparents, Grandma Barbara, Grandpa Hazelhofer, and great Grandma Gloria who just happen to be visiting from Oregon. He requested his favorite RIBS for dinner and angel cake with fresh strawberries for dessert. Cameron now in the young mens at church can't wait to do all those things that come with being a deacon starting next sunday.

What you didn't see happen here, is Dallin beat Cameron to blowing out the candles. You can see the look in Dallin's eyes in this picture just waiting to blow them out!!

Scout Camping at Big Basin

Just about 20 minutes ago Michael and Cameron came home from a Boy scout camping trip. They left yesterday late about 5:00pm and went to Big Basin Redwood State Park about 2 1/2 hours from here. With Michael being Scoutmaster I guess he is suppose to have/plan about 4-6 maybe more these camp outs a year with the boy scouts. A lot of work goes into preparing and planning them but in the end when they get there they do have a lot of fun. As you will see in these pictures, I finally got Michael to remember to take the camera. It's kind of funny I too work in the scouting program not just because I have 4 boys but because I am the committee chair. I am still trying to figure out what exactly I do other than give my signature on things. Anyway, Cameron sleeps in his tent as you will see in these pictures and the tough old Scoutmaster really roughs it out with his tent trailer?!?! They ventured out there day with a 14 mile hike to Waddell Beach with some not so willing boy scouts as you might also see in the pictures. But needless to say returned home safe and sound and very tired.

I guess I'll do this all by myself?

This took 11 boy scouts all the way around this tree.

GROSS!!!

GROSS,GROSS!

Taking a break, almost there.

Doesn't this picture make you think of David and Goliath? It does me when I first saw it. This kid is only a year older than Cameron. PS notice the NY/BYU clothing, you would think the kid had no other clothes than those 2 things. I don't think I would recognize him if he were in anything else.

Finished, now for some food I am so hungry that I will wait right here until it is done.

Yankees vs. Pirates

Yankees vs. Pirates. Camerons 3rd game for the season their 2-0. Needless to say he is totally stoked that he made to the majors and made it onto the Yankees team! His favorite baseball team! His games starts at 5:30 and coach wants him there at 4:15 for warmup. Cameron gets nervous because that's barely enough time to get home from school, eat something change and get back over to the baseball field. But we make it just in time. As all baseball games are, this games started intense and intense. In the bottom of the 6th Cameron was up to bat the score was 13-11 (we're behind) 2 outs, bases loaded! NO PRESSURE! NOT FOR ME OR HIM! 1st pitch BALL, 2nd pitch Strike, 3rd pitch he hits it to right field just over 1st basemans head. Cameron makes it to first and one run comes in and a second on it's way to tie the game until the poor kid over heard the coach yelling at the kid behind him running to 3rd to stop. So the kid stopped half way on his way to home plate turned around and saw he wasn't talking to him and well you can figure out from there what happend. Great game though! I so proud of my baseball player!

Playing in outfield- right outfield to be exact.

In this inning he was walked to 1st base. GOOD EYE Cameron!

AND HE STEALS 2ND BASE! WAY TO GO CAM!

STEALS 3RD!

AND PUTS THE FIRST SCORE ON THE BOARD FOR HIS TEAM! THEY NEED IT 8-1

About Breakfast

Every morning, is always a joy! Cameron wakes easily, Dallin usually wakes before anyone, Morgan wakes up like his mom Happy (not), Garrett is just really slow moving and needs constant redirecting. After everyone is up and finally dressed it seems that Garrett and Morgan are the last to come to the table for breakfast and scarfing down there food before there ride comes. We carpool so I don't have to drive both directions. By the way Garrett combed his hair in this picture, we can't convince him to comb it just a LITTLE different! Every morning he combs it this way! Dallin loves cinnamon toast lately and won't eat the crust as you can see. And then when he is done refuses to have his mouth washed off! So there is always a nice little struggle there. Anyway thought I would share that with you.
